Hi there, I’m Josie

Senior UI/UX Artist

Solving creative challenges

and bringing video game interfaces to life

Creating a flawless player experience is at the heart of everything I do. From immersive UI to gorgeous graphic design, I’m passionate about creating user-friendly content with a focus on seamless design and accessibility.

About Me

Self-confessed geek, bona fide crazy cat lady & tireless crusader against unruly hair!

When I’m not busy playing video games or chasing after my two cats, I’m usually squirrelled away planning my next creative venture. With a wealth of experience across various digital channels and mediums, I love designing and delivering first-class creative content.

From wireframes and static screen mockups to motion graphics and prototypes, I can’t wait to bring a project to life.

Here’s what I do

(when I’m not cuddling kittens)

I love puzzles. Jigsaws, escape rooms, riddles… You name it, I’m first in line trying to solve it. And that’s how I approach UI/UX, like one big puzzle. I enjoy the challenge of taking the ‘pieces’ – player needs, design requirements and art style, to name a few – and figuring out how they fit together to create the perfect gaming experience.

Player Psychology

Understanding players – their motivations, emotions, behaviours – is an intrinsic part of my workflow when developing UI.

Game Design

From research to wireframing, I work closely with Game Designers to create UI that perfectly complements gameplay.

Accessibility

For me, inclusive design is at the core of UI/UX, factoring accessibility into every design choice I make, from font choices to screen layouts.

Implementation

Collaborating with Tech Designers and Engineers, I understand and appreciate the technical requirements of implementing UI.

Art

With a strong foundation in art theory and graphic design, I create high quality art assets and mockups across a range of styles and genres.

UI Style Guides

I work directly with Art Directors and wider Art disciplines to craft Style Guides, creating an essential foundation for consistent UI.

Motion Graphics

Whether its a simple state change or a fully animated feature, I make use of animation to bring interfaces and ideas to life.
