PARTY SELECT – UI PEEPS CHALLENGE

Moodboards    Wireframes    Hi-Fi Mockups     Prototype

Recently I decided to try my hand at the UI Peeps Fall Challenge:

Develop a party select screen for an RPG game inspired by ancient Greek mythology! Team up with legendary figures like Hercules and Athena, and confront formidable foes such as Medusa and the Minotaur. Travel with your party on a journey through ancient Greece, from the majestic heights of Mount Olympus to the shadowy depths of the Underworld.

It was my first time taking part in the challenge, and I can definitely see myself doing more in the future!

Despite only needing to create a single screen for the challenge, it felt important to create a solid foundation so I set about researching an art style and structure for the party select menu.

During my research phase, I found myself leaning towards a more simplistic design, focussing on showcasing the characters and highlighting their stats without cluttering the screen with too much extra detail.

I created a simple lo-fi wireframe to test my layout before refining it further into a high fidelity wireframe that I could use as a basis for my mockups.
