UI GAME PIPELINE CHALLENGE

In May 2023 I completed the ELVTR course “UI/UX for Gaming” led by Ariel Mallo, Principle UI Artist at Frontier Developments. I received a letter of recommendation from Ariel, as a top student in the class.

The course included several assignments covering the UI game pipeline from initial mood-boarding and flowcharts to mockups and implementation in Unity. I opted for a fictional FPS console game as the basis for my assignments, which went on to influence my design considerations and prototyping. The work below was created using Figma.

Flowchart

There were two goals in this assignment:

1. Select the screens required to represent the screen flow of the player and game requirements

2. Organise a logic flow to find all the menus and navigation required to connect these screens

Wireframe

Goal: Create a Player Profile screen wireframe, based on the player’s progress and achievements

Prototype

Goal: Create an interactive prototype of your Player Profile wireframe screen, to demonstrate how the game UI will work
